Subject: Faldingworth Live has closed as at July
I am posting this thread to ensure that I let as many people know as possible, that Faldingworth Live has closed as at July 2007.

The reason has to do with personal issues regarding myself. Unfortunately people were unable or did not wish to take on my responsibilities and keep the club running.

Faldingworth Live and earlier Market Rasen Folk Club were very successful and the closure has nothing to do with decline.

I would like to thank all the many performers who have graced the club over the years, you all did me proud, and hopefully I made more friends than enemies :-)

I would also like to thank all the many people who just came to listen.

Having said that I would like to thank all the people who helped and supported me through thick and thin. You know who you are and should be proud of yourselves.

I consider you all my friends and hope to see you around at some club or other.

May I just mention that the record for number of people at the club on one night was 89 set by John Conolly and Bill Whaley & Dave Fletcher who did a joint concert.

The lowest number ever was about 34 which is still very good for such a rural area.

As such, if anybody is interested in taking over and running a very successful club at this last minute (the diary can still at this stage be resurrected) then please pm me or give instructions on how I can contact you. There would be many happy faces if that special person was around.

Good luck to everybody and remember "keep music live, in whatever form or shape that you can"
