Shall I place covers over you, and tuck
You in, for afternoon nap, or enfold
You in my arms? Or shall I try to pluck
You from cocoon, like butterfly in gold?
Shall I think of soft whispers to lull you
To sleep, or wake you with soft kisses? How
Am I to know what you desire, or do
What might more pleasure bring, future and now?
Shall I offer a moment's passion, or
Send you concern and caring from my heart?
Should I some part of your body adore,
Or all of you desire, and make this start?
Shall I send sweet words to ease thought, or try
To tell desire, and let hope's arrows fly?
