How might I seek within your angel eyes
The inspiration for some future verse?
Might you send smile, or words to make me wise
To your desire? How can I hope rehearse,
Without lines? I ask not for heart, but thought,
That I might understand you. Will you let
Me look beyond your words, to have dreams taught?
I cannot picture of your smile forget.
I ask you find the time to let me see
If you hold muse behind your eyes, to tell
My dreams their path. I do not ask to be
More than I am, yet remain under spell.
The eyes are windows to the soul: I pray
That I might see into your eyes, someday.
