Now I wouldn't say it myself, but I have heard the opinion expressed by some among the ill-informed masses that folk music is mostly BS anyway. The phoakie-literati, on the other hand, know full well that what some perceive as BS is really just the well-turned (excuse me: 'tuned') phrase bearing a clever metaphore, semaphore, simile, analogy, etc. (all them other figger of speech thingies). I mean, like, really, did Dylan ever write anything really, like, cosmic, or, well, like, whatever. I mean, ya know?. I mean, like, nothing as heavy as Elvis, fer sure.
