"Stope" is good, but it's not what Bill Lore sang when Phil Thomas recorded him: he sang "to and fro". I put "Taku Miners" into the DT (in Apr 96 (it says). It's in Phil's book, the second edition of which, revised and enlarged will be out, say the publishers, in the fall. Phil did not live to see the day. He died this February.
