BTW, is this the "forum", the "chat", both, or what? Myself, I see this (whatever it may be) as equivalent to a good party, attended by people that share an interest of mine. Like all such good parties, the conversations (threads) are not necessarily limited to that intrest. If all of the threads were limited to folkwhatever, the place would get to dry, stuffy, pompous, and academic (in the negative sense: "Beware, lest you be mistaken for a scholar." It's a sufi saying I read once). On the other hand, we have our collective act together enough that the joys/sorrows/recipes/quotes/jokes/world news/personal opinions don't utterly take over and eliminate the folkwhatever content that attracted us all to the 'Cat in the first place.
