I've been a Worms fan for the past six years or so; a friend had seen them at Old Songs then and compared them to the Chad Mitchell Trio only much younger, all-Canadian, and funny in a different way, so I had to check them out.   Different is right!    Funny goes without saying. I saw them on Long Island five years ago at the Huntington Summer Arts Festival where the free outdoor show was rained out but management took those of us who braved the elements and stayed in the park inside onto the closed-off stage, where the Worms did an intimate acoustic set that just killed.   My then-9-year-old son sat inches from them and was duly impressed as well.   We've got a number of their CDs, as well as their DVD, and my favorite song changes depending on what I've listened to most recently (my son likes "I Ran Away" and "Dad Threw Up on Christmas Day".   The Worms are terrific entertainers and I hope to see them again live in the near future.
