Well, now I know that Normie Rowe was involved, I can reveal that he was a classmate of my brother's at Northcote High; they were wet behind the ears fags (First-formers, nothing to do with sexuality in those days) whereas I was one of the infinitely more sophisticated Sixth formers who took no notice of such lower beings.

This had longlasting effects on our music; I was busy memorising the Tom Lehrer repertoire and trying to locate pirated copies of "When dalliance was in flower" (very saucy, we thought) while Normie became rich and famously part of the pop kulcha.

But, a generation later, I did get my bro playing lagerphone and concertina.
