What is it with all these thread title parodies, whats the point?

It's simply the manner in which a few aberrant people (who would have been institutionalized in less enlightened times) attempt to make sense of their environment. It's somewhat related to obsessive-compulsive disorder. Being able to convert a thread title into something of their own design allows sufferers to impose a sense of order and control over a seemingly random universe.   

On the other hand, I may be totally full of shit and the point may be to piss off tight-assed old farts by making them wonder what the point is.
