Keele folk club, just 10 years ago, had a lot of excelent acts. Both home grown and imported. I first saw 'Fluff', an amazing young lady fiddle player there. I next saw her playing with the Incredible String band at Brighton!

I don't think Newcastle Uni has it's own club per se but the people on the folk music course have regular nights at the Bridge folk club - and excelent they are too! I certainly expect to be seeing a few of them on the big stage in time as well:-)

This fits in nicely with the other thread about the young - As long as it is good young people will enjoy it. Uni folk clubs are an excelent example.
