I thought I'd bring you all up to date on what's happened to that boy Shane.

He's out of the hospital here, but the head doctor has took him to one of them big hospitals down south for those folks who aren't quite right in the head. Weyburn, I think he said it was. Something like that, only maybe it wasn't. My hearing ain't so good these days. Yours wouldn't be either if you was as old as I am.

Anyway, the head doctor don't think the boy will be getting out soon. Last we saw of him he was runnin' around flappin' his arms and yellin' "Cockadoodledoo!" I think that the time in the chickenshit made the boy a bit touched in the head, if you know what I mean.

Anyways, I don't have an address where you can write him at.
