A dear old friend of mine, my hairdresser, died of a heart attack last month, after several years of poor health (arthritis and hip replacement). He had great style but no budget in the end. I gave him Martha Stewart Living for the last couple of years and he got such pleasure from the well-conceived and beautifully photographed articles. I'm so grateful that I thought to give him that subscription, and it was an affordable gift for me.
