Renee, my guess is that the "P.C" police got hold of that kids' song book (that changed "someday I'm going to murder the bugler, someday they're going to find him dead" to
"someday I'm going to be a bugler, someday I'll be waking them up instead") are the same sort that changed "misty taste of moonshine" to "misty haze of moonlight" -- for the sake of the young 'uns, don't ya know -- when they put "Take Me Home, Country Roads" in a public school songbook.   (sigh)
