My experience, your experience. It probably depends where you live. Looking through the Lewes Favourites Tune Book, all the E "minor" tunes are aeolian (which isn't the same as Eminor) except one, The Rights of Man, which is Irish but we've appropriated it because Tom Paine used to live here.

It may well be different again in Hull.
