It's always a fine balance Dave: every year there's very careful budgetting. If someone would provide the cash, we'd put on the best free festival you could imagine. As it is, ticket revenues form the bulk of Fylde's income - as Alan is wont to say 'Bums on seats'

Fylde is unusual in that 'no charge' venues have many top artists provided by the Festival. The hope is that Folk music then gets to the general public, and flourishes.

Camping is a particular pressure for us at Fylde. Loos security and transport don't come cheap.

Anyway, enjoy - we think this year's line-up is a good one.
