Ask the organisers about shade, & if they haven't a bit of shade for you to perform under, ask them about supplying a beach umbrella or similar shady thingy. I assume their insurance wouldn't like to pay out for treatment for a sun-struck performer. (I assume they have insurance, no event in Oz can happen without lots of public liability insurance & I'm sure our insurers were inspired by American insurers.)
