I have no problem at all with the Festival, Stu. I have been going to Fylde for at least 30 years and, as a fellow festival organiser on a much smaller scale for 25 of those, I can honestly say it is one of the best in the world! And the Best Value!!!

Three Full Days (and early mornings)of Entertainment, Camping and transport around the Fest. for £61 - just a few pence over £20 a day!

The only issue I had was that to camp I had to pay £50-odd pounds for a ticket I will probably not use, £10 for the camp site and £1 booking fee! There seems to be no alternative apart from B&B which would be just as dear and I would have no chance of booking at short notice. It does not exactly lend itself to someone who just wants to camp, cannot say if they can go until the last minute or, worst of all, cannot afford a weekend ticket:-( Glad to say I am not in the latter group:-)

Why won't you use the ticket? Why can't you buy a weekend ticket if and when you get there? If someone can't afford a weekend ticket, they could always go for a day and enjoy all the free frindge events provided! - and if you just want to camp - go to a camp site! - looks like you want to pay a tenner for 3 days camping go to all the free events which Ticket purchasers are providing for you! - hey want a FREE pint as well?

But, like I said, it hasn't become one of the most successful festivals going by worrying about who can afford to go! And, again like both Basil Fawlty and I have said before, it keeps the riff-raff away:-) -

As you say "That doesn't include you" - Hey Fylde festival organisers where's the hoards of wilder beasts roaming on Fleetwood Promenade? call yourself a folk festival!

what an AH
