Well, it's kind of like football, Janie. What I mean is, it's sort of arbitrary. It works like this: you invent a couple of teams, give them names and players, and send them out onto a field to knock hell out of each other. You teach half the people in the area to cheer for one team, and half to cheer for the other. Everybody starts to think something real is at stake...and that's when the trouble begins.

Artificial division. ;-)

The object of the game? To keep people entertained and to make money for those few who are in charge of the game.
