The Fox Valley Folk Festival, that has happened on Labor Day Weekend for the last 31 years in the Chicago area has been cancelled. It was a difficult decision. The heavy rainfall from the last couple weeks have submerged a lot of the area where the festival was held. Other locations were also going to be too muddy or damaged to use as a fall back location. All the performers were reached in time so no one had to make the trip for nothing. But if any mudcatters in the area were thinking of coming out, I thought you should know there was not going to be a festival. Here's hoping next year's should go off without a hitch.
