Probably spelled it wrong but oh well. I would like to go to Washington D.C. this November, followed by a short trip to Iowa Via Madison, WI to look for family roots. I can probably afford the airfare but not a week of hotels...would any female types (who might like a visit on the Washington coast some time) be able to put me up, just a spot on the floor is all I need..in Washington D.C. Nov 9, 10, and 11, and perhaps Madison WI in Nov 12 and 15 and somewhere near Clermont (NE) Iowa November 13 and 14...I might have a window of opportunity to actually go but it is the hotels and possibly renting a car in WI and IA that will make this unlikely. My itenerary is Portland to D.C. Nov. 9 (although I might get an overnight flight)..D.C. 2 days, on to Madison, probably spend the night, although actually I could rent a car and go straight to Iowa..spend a couple of days in Iowa...fly back.
