I'm glad Liz started this thread. I'll be sure to never leave my cats in care of a vicar. Of course, that won't be too difficult since I don't know any vicars. In fact, I don't think we have vicars in the US. We have scupernongs. Maybe the scupernongs scared the vicars off.
