Our purple finches are red and tan and white. No orange. (Plus, I learned the purple finch is our (NH) state bird.)

I just tried comparing color vision in my eyes. The colors were just a teensy bit faded in my right eye, but then I looked in the opposite direction, with the opposite result, and figured it was the angle of light that was making the difference.

I've previously noticed the colors definitely faded in one eye before. I get migraines, and I think that might have been the cause. Eyes OK, brain not so much.
