Vast peripheral vision is a great adavantage and not so good. I can see directly behind me when I turn my head 40 degrees. This is because my eyeballs "protrude" from the sockets. While this is very useful in many ways, it's not so good when the early morning light tends to make you bury your face in the pillow.... it puts pressure on the eye(s) and causes them to go out of round... astigmatism and blurred vision results.

I wonder how many people are affected this way. Simple stuff, really.
