yes, that was an interesting programme--really emphasised, even celebrated, Marie Slocombe's foresight and commitment about getting folk music (among other things) into the archive.

Now--that leads me back to the folk-on-local-BBC radio hobbyhorse:
If Radio 4 can endorse the value of collecting and archiving traditional music, then shouldn't local BBC radio managers who've been axing folk shows take a hint?
