Colin was a lovely man, kind and generous... as has been said already, his hugs gave warmth and peace. If you had troubles, great or small, he always had time to listen and offer understanding and of course his reliable, kindly, good sense.
And his stories and views on life and people were always positive, never unkind.
It is a privilege to have known him.
