One of the ladies in my office went to an amusement park over the weekend. Six Flags Over Texas to be exact. Here's a sample of some of the "food" that being offered:

Fried Oreos

Fried Peaches – a peach put on a popsicle stick, covered in batter and then deep fat fried and served with a scoop of ice cream.

Funnel Cakes covered with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. A funnel cake is dough that is deep fat fried {do you see a pattern here?} and then covered with powdered sugar. But they've just started adding the chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

While discussing these delicacies someone else in the office sent this story to me about - so help me - FRIED COKE:

"Now, vendor Abel Gonzales Jr. has come up with a new artery-clogging concoction for the State Fair of Texas. It's fried Coke.
Gonzales deep-fries Coca-Cola-flavored batter. He then drizzles Coke fountain syrup on it. The fried Coke is topped with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry. Gonzales said the fried Coke came about just from thinking aloud."
