If you go to a country fair and look for an alternative, the alternative is don't go to the country fair! You don't go mountain climbing if you don't like heights, you don't go in a cave if you can't stand cramped spaces.   Feeding your kids veggies in a pita at a country fair?? That sounds like child abuse!!

Seriously, it is not something you would do on a weekly basis. Fried food is not bad as an OCCASIONAL treat. If you can do without, no problem there. Let those who choose it enjoy their deep fried oreo!
