Grey Owl actually sat on a native council
which was convened from first nations people.

From what i heard some of the others (chiefs
and tribal leaders) thought it a great joke
that he was included in the circle, as he was
not actually born as a native, although he did
live the life and try to work for the rights
of native people.

He was born in England, to rather well to do
parents as i recall.
