Let's see in 2006 Ohio had 8,562,593 people over 18, i.e. voting age.

640,000 people were "disenfranchised by various bits of hanky-panky" - That's 7.5% of the electorate. But total number of votes cast was only 5,627,545 so only 65% of the electorate turned up and voted. Which means that 10% of those wishing to vote were disenfranchised, that's one in ten! And nobody noticed?

If the 640,000 had voted in accordance with the exit polls Bush would have ended up with 328,640 of them compared to Kerry with 320,360. This would have increased Bush's winning margin to 126,879 in the State of Ohio.
