I'd seen the news that Tish is now in Germany ... I suspect that's a far cry from her south and west Texas roots! I wonder if she misses the desert? The heat, the dust, the rattlesnakes? Or the sunsets, the spring thunderstorms or midnight clear skies?

Marvin is a really fine player - a musician's musician. That session in Tucson was quite a mix of players and styles. Kristina Olsen, Marvin, me and a few other names I don't recall sat 'til just before dawn, playing along with whatever song anyone started. It was a really good time with some really fine players. There seemed to be plenty of adult beverages and mild recreational pharmaceuticals going around. I don't join in those activities, but can enjoy the atmosphere they sometimes create. It was a nice night.
