Yes "Wild Mountian Thyme" was a favourite closing song as far back as the Adelphi Folk Club, Swansea in the mid-60's

Since then it has been featured in The Afan Valley Folk Club, Port Talbot; The Swansea University Folk Club and The Colliers Folk Club, Neath.
The Swansea Folk Club in the 70's also adopted it. I well remember Lynne Gent singing it at The Valley Folk Club. She has a wonderful voice which was admirably suited to such a beautiful song.
