Thanks for posting the link to the Geraldo broadcast. It's a fascinating and rather hilarious look at the trivial stuff that passes for "news" in the USA. It's not news at all, it's merely a means of momentarily entertaining and distracting a passively ignorant society that lives largely in denial.
