I am hoping that some of you can help us spread the word on this concert.

On Saturday October 13th at 8pm, the Hurdy Gurdy Folk Music Club is honored to present Scottish singer EMILY SMITH in concert at the Fair Lawn Community Center in Fair Lawn, NJ.   Opening the evening will be our special guest DONAL CLANCY.

This concert will be Emily's first performance in New Jersey. In 2002 Emily was named Young Traditional Performer of the Year by the BBC and in 2005 she won the USA Songwriting Competition. She has a glorious voice and has a gift for interpreting song. Emily has released two CD's in her young career, and a third will be released next year.

We are also extremely excited to announce Donal Clancy will open the evening. The son of Liam Clancy, Donal has gained a strong reputation for his guitar skills and currently tours with the band Danu.   Donal has released his first solo CD, and this performance will be a rare solo appearance for Donal.
