I'll never forget listening to my Grandma reading "Treasure Island " to my cousins and brother one summer long ago. She was recovering from a slight stroke and could only sit out in the garden that season, and it seemed to have been a warm , bee and wasp filled one.
The story thrilled us as I know it still can thrill youngsters. I read it for my own kids a fedw years ago also and anytime they see or hear of it on TV they say how they recall the story of "Young Áwrkins" but the character who seems to have delighted my son most is ...Ben Gunne (A tribute, no doubt, to my acting skills)
