Hope my posting thsi to "Lyrics and Knowledge" rather than in "Personal Messages" won't be annoying; it's just that I've tried three times to answer a Personal Message from Ch. Noble, but it's evident (from the twice-repeated request) that these haven't got through. I regret that I don't have any other verses to the song in question, and strongly suspect it's a one-off Jeu d'Esprit which I found in an account of Hamish Imlach, Billy Connolly et al; I think it may have been the Autobiography of Jack McLean, he of The Glasgow Herald.
