"A Daisy a Day" by Strunk"No Man's Land", Eric Bogle, is very sad. I'm amazed how many titles this song goes by since it's a recent song and copyrighted. How many songs get retitled by people who sing them when the writer is still alive and very well known internationally.
Any of Bogle's anti-war songs:
"And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" "My Youngest Son Comes Home Today"
"The Waterlily" is very sad. I've been asked to sing it in several places. No one ever remembers the name - "Sing the 'Dead Baby' song."
