Doesn't matter if Mom was applying for widder's pension, paying off a parking ticket or making a run for President, the papers were officially filed and The Bearded One (of several) was adopted and is eligible to share in Mom's estate, help pay for her care, and all that sort of thing. My Wife The Attorney says that the documants are legal, valid, were properly filed, are brass-bottomed and iron-clad, and it would take an act of Congress to overturn them -- maybe even a Constitutional Amendment.

As for Gluon, that duckdog was just passing through, I think (and hope). In Gluon's passing by all of my paint ended up in different cans so you can't tell what shade is where without opening; my black powder squirts out water instead of smoke and fire; and my car now gets 347 miles to the gallon, but runs on pig urine and the exhaust has gotten me several citations from the EPA and the local health department (a tree in my front yard is also dead from the bark being "humped off").
