Diane, you forgot the documentary narrator/Radio 2 DJ/BBC Proms telly presenter bits. It's becoming very difficult to weave one's way through life without encountering the man in some guise or other. I even have a number of large, plastic garden tubs that bear the almost ineradicable sticky label "Alan Titchmarsh Garden Humper." It's been suggested, unkindly, that there should be a hyphen in there after his surname. He has that elusive and amazing ability to sound simultaneously patronising, whimsical and bored with us all.   Ah, what a vale of tears this world is turning into!

I saw the Poozies several times when the lineup was Tweed, Barker, Seddon and McMaster, and later with Rusby. They were wonderful.
