If ye're playin' it in the 'G' chord shapes try this...

Play G with the extra finger on the 2nd string in the D position (3rd Fret)

When movin' te the next chord (C) leave the 1st & 2nd string fingers where they are (3rd Fret) and move the fingers from the 5th & 6th strings (B & G) across to the 4th & 5th strings (E & C)
