If Bob Dylan had received more encouragement early on when he was in his rock phase in high school (they said he sounded a lot like Buddy Holly), he might have kept singing on pitch in a fairly clear voice instead of swooping and surging and trying to sound like he was a toothless and ancient denizen of the Schmucky Mountains who had just rode into town with a wagonload of parsnips.

What a loss to music!!
