Yeah, Don, that's exactly what a ballot is like. I don't think of elections as much of a representation of the people's will...I think of them as a representation of the power structure's formalized way of maintaining itself by getting the people to rubber stamp it at regular intervals. (sigh) Still, one must make the best choices one can from the menu, as you say.
