You're very quiet, aren't you? Is this a character trait or are you attempting to lull me and the reindeer into a false sense of security? Just to let you know that I'm working long hours with the NES (National Elf Service - not sure which nation, mind you)to try to sort out the best possible pressies but we have only minimal information to go on. Now I might be able to cope with this, but the Elves and the reindeer are beginning to get a little restive. As a sop to their professional scruples I've had to agree to letting the surveillance team do their stuff, so if you notice some strange flashing lights around in the next week or so, or hear the occasional thump in the night please don't be alarmed. The lights will probably be green, the thump will sound exactly like an Elf falling off a reindeer - anything else and I'd advise calling for assistance.

But if you'd prefer me to cancel the whole surveillance operation, just wave at us in the next few days and we'll say no more about it.
