Had we been together over a pint, "get a fresh one" would have had the proper intonation of the groan that follows an old - - - and fondly remembered - - - bad pun.

Approximately 1980(?) or thereabouts, when the first "pocket calculators" appeared, there was a brisk and healthy(?) competition in some circles to see how many rude things could be spelled using the "upside down numbers" as they appeared on the early (primitive?) LED displays.

For best presentation, switching your browser font temporarily to something like one of the "OCR" or "ATX" family fonts will get the proper rounded 3 and open 4. "Back then" there were some particularly favored typewriter fonts that worked quite well, but my memory has lost their names.

Perhaps someone with nothing better to do might find some of the old smartass constructions still floating around the net(?).
