Since me and a few friends started the Red Bull folk club there have been many different people who've come and gone.
Some we were introduced to as the new owners, "We want to keep it as it is" sort of types, they just disappear without ever setting foot behind the bar.
Others, " Ave gort big plans fer in ere" , oh yeah? Never seen again.
I think there must be more dreamers in the pub game than any other.
I'm told anyone selling a Ferrari has the same problem, never affected me an me Volvo.
The building is being renovated, it needs a lot of work. What happens at the end is anybodies guess. There's some interested people but there always is! See above.
Yep there are some great old pubs in Stockport, we've lost a lot though. I guess it's the same everywhere. I'd say at least one in ten has gone in the last 10 years. Maybe more. How is it where you are?
Lots of wine bars though!
