I had downloaded that SP3 and installed it on Oct. 11, but the computer was running very slow the day before and tried to install it all when I turned off the computer and I didn't let it. So to play it safe I set it back to Oct. 9. I had updated a couple of things in those days, but nothing that can't be redone (security programs, FireFox, etc.)

I went to Microsoft and got it to list my download history to be sure of the dates, and then after the system restore I visited Microsoft for the updates I wanted. It was not happy that I excluded the Office update and told it not to list it again in my updates. If that system had been Hal this astronaut would have been in trouble with that decision!
