Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Kerry Hills (Brendan Begley)
I spoke to someone this past weekend who was able to give me a complete set of lyrics for Tim Dennehy's version of the song, so I'm posting that here. Thanks to everyone who helped out on this. Zhenya

The Kerry Hills

It's with great affection and recollection
Oftimes I wander over memory's haze
In my days of childhood, when in glen and wildwood
I ran and reveled in my boyhood days.

But the days of childhood are now a memory
That in my bosom fond thoughts instill
Of the days so merry, when we plucked the berry
On the verdant slopes of the Kerry hills

I have seen the Atlantic beat wild and frantic
And fill the cliffs with an angry foam
Turn back defeated, its wild heart beating
In thunderous roar from my Kerry home

But the seas of childhood are now a memory
That in my bosom fond thoughts instill
Of the days so merry, when we plucked the berry
On the verdant slopes of the Kerry hills

I think tonight on my friends and schoolmates
Some now lie on a foreign shore
While more lie sleeping in a quiet churchyard
To the lonesome keen of the west wind's moan
