Wow, an active 12 year old thread about Don Gato! I learned this in the extremely early 70's. Our school music teacher taught it to us accompaning herself on the autoharp. Like you folks, I never forgot it. Years later, when I was a school music teacher, I taught it to all the young kids by memory, and it was, by and large, the most popular song I ever taught.
