There are a few ways to go with dachshund art.

The traditional method is to line up several dachshunds and several large containers of paint in strong primary colors. One then takes a dachshund, dips him in one or more of the colors, and applies the dachshund to the canvas in swift blotting or sweeping motions. A "blot" if done properly can produce a sillouette of the dachshund from different angles, and this was the effect generally aimed for by the traditional Masters, while the impressionist and modern movement has gone more toward "sweeps".

Then there's "freestyle". Freestyle involves simply scattering paint around on the floor and letting the dachshunds walk around in it. One then releases the dachshunds onto a large canvas-covered floor and allows them to wander at will, thus producing a completely spontaneous work of art!

Freestyle is favored by those who feel that the dogs, if left to themselves, can produce finer art than is achieved through human interference.

Has anyone tried the above? If so, with what results? And can anyone suggest some further useful techniques in dachshund art?

Now here is an interesting example of performance art involving a dachshund:
