maeve, here in Yorkshire we eat apple pie with Wensleydale Cheese, which is a mild white crumbly cheese that's delicious with pie or with a good apple. In fact, we have a saying: 'apple pie without the cheese, is like a kiss without a squeeze'. Some people in the UK think this combination is really strange but it's fantastic.
