I have a very nice Guilds 12 string which i bought second hand about 5 years ago. It was made around 1996 and plays very sweetly. It very rarely goes out of tune and the finger board is slim enough to get a thumb round easily. It has solid mahogany back and sides and was engineered to last so it is a big heavy instument. When I bought it I took it to a very critical local luthier who was happy not to charge me for checking it over as he couldnt find any fault with it. The action is very good. It was' and still is an excellent second hand buy. The day I bouhgt it i tried new Yamahas Martins ang Simon and Patricks and it sounded better than any of them. Kenny B
